I wonder what it's dreaming about?

Made in Adobe Flash CS3.
Pokemon is (C) Gamefreak and Nintendo.

I was going to script it so that it would only be breathing until you clicked on it somewhere, then the flames would explode out its back... but I couldn't for the life of me figure it out. It's been so long since I've needed to use any kind of script whatsoever, and Actionscript is definitely not that easy to get back into. lol

If anyone wants to lend a word, I'm all ears!! The flames are they're own object with 40 keys (same as the main timeline) and Typhlosion is its own object with 40 keys. Each of them are Movie Clip objects.)

Very sweet! However, I would recommend having Typhlosion breathe in, hold it for let's say 5 key frames, and then let it out, whereupon the flames would shoot out. On the breath out, hold it again for 5 key frames, then breathe it, etc. This might make it more realistic, as he's breathing kind of fast. This way it looks like he's having a bad dream instead of a relaxing one! Hope this helps! :)

For a practice animation, I really didn't want to fiddle with the whole thing... but I agree with you 100%. The breathing animation could have been executed more carefully, with better timing. I spent more time trying to get the exploding fire animation right, and after that was handled, I just wanted to share it. lol

If I animate another sleeping pokemon/creature, I'll take all that into consideration (as I should, and had better). Thanks for the new pair of eyes! :3

Ah, I see. :) Yeah, fire can be tricky, but I think you pulled it off very well! Lol, I can relate, being excited after getting something "right" in animation or a drawing or whatever, and wanting to post it pronto! :D

I'll be expecting more from you then! ^^ And I'm glad I could help!

Aw, that's very kind! I guess I should get back to work, instead of checking messages. lol

:D  Yup. I can see, even by this simple animation, that you have a lot of talent! It must not be wasted! Right after you check your messages of course! XD lolz!

oh, Jolteon IS. But I don't have one in Soul Silver yet, and I just thought that Typhlosion would be easy to animate. It was, until I added fire. lol

Would doing a Growlithe or a Bulbasaur be hard to animate?

If I can draw 'em, probably not. Bulbie would be easier though, I can say for sure, since I don't have to worry about any fur.
